Augmented reality in the world of maintenance
LT Renewables continues its technological innovation process by presenting the integration of maintenance with augmented reality, with the aim of providing an increasingly professional service to all these customers.
The Help Desk service, a department of expert technicians with many years of experience in the renewable energy sector, can now give an operational support thanks to augmented reality devices, which allow visual communication between the control room and the field operator.
Field technicians can also use the devices to consult the related manuals, diagrams and electrical parameters in real time, by connecting with the monitoring platform and thereby reducing intervention times.
The videos of the interventions are stored in a database made available to the customer, together with the trouble ticketing system, which allows to manage and keep track of each work performed.
The device has a camera with both visible and infrared spectrum, allowing the immediate capture of a thermography of the components under observation: the operator can follow a pre-filled check list from the Help Desk, confirm the progress of the activity and then automatically generate a geolocalized report on the activity correctly completed.
